Birdsong Data Deletion
Last updated 17 August 2026
1. Who this page is for
This page explains how to delete data held by Birdsong, a product of Birdcage Group Pty Ltd, an Australian company. There are two different people who might be reading it, and the answer is different for each.
If you have a Birdsong account you can do all of this yourself, from Settings, and sections 2 to 4 are the steps.
If you are a customer of a business that uses Birdsong, because you booked an appointment, asked for a quote or filled in an enquiry form, you never signed up to Birdsong. The business you dealt with collected your details and decides what happens to them. Ask them directly and they can delete you from their record. Section 5 covers what to do if you cannot reach them.
2. Take a copy first, if you want one
Deleting cannot be undone, so do this first if you want anything kept. Sign in, open Settings, then Your data, and choose Download your data. You get a single file holding everything Birdsong has for that business: your leads, your customers, your bookings, your quotes and your content.
That file contains your customers’ names, emails and phone numbers. Keep it somewhere safe rather than emailing it around.
3. Remove a connected Meta, Google or TikTok account
Sign in and open Connections. Press Disconnect next to the platform you want removed. Three things happen immediately: the access token Birdsong stored for that account is deleted, so Birdsong can no longer reach the account at all; no further figures are collected from it; and the figures already collected from it are deleted.
Only that platform, and only its figures. Disconnecting Meta does not touch Google’s or TikTok’s, and if you run more than one business on Birdsong it only affects the one you are working in. Nothing you created yourself is removed. Your posts, leads, customers, bookings, quotes and your website audit all stay exactly as they were.
What that comes to, platform by platform. For Meta and TikTok, Birdsong reads your figures fresh each time you open a page and keeps none of them, so removing the connection is the whole of it. For Google, the one place figures are kept is your saved website audits: the search terms people typed to find you, and the appearances, clicks and positions against them. Those lines come out of every saved audit. The rest of each audit, which is about your own website, stays.
If something has been missed, email hello@birdcagegroup.com from the address on your account, say which business and which platform, and we will action it and confirm when it is done. Closing your account, in section 4, removes everything.
You can also revoke Birdsong’s access from the platform’s own settings, in Facebook, Google or TikTok, and that works independently of anything in Birdsong. Events already delivered to a platform are held under that platform’s own terms rather than ours, so ask them to remove those.
4. Delete your account and everything in it
Sign in, open Settings, then Close account. You will be asked to type a confirmation phrase exactly, because this is the one action in Birdsong that cannot be undone.
Closing your account deletes your login and every business you own, and everything inside those businesses goes with them: your leads, your customer record, your bookings, your quotes, your content, your connected accounts and their tokens, and the marketing figures collected from them. It happens straight away, not on a schedule.
One case where Birdsong will refuse. If someone else also works in a business you own, closing your account would delete their work along with yours, and there is no way to hand the business over to them yet. So Birdsong stops and tells you which business it is. Remove the other people from that business first, then come back and close the account.
5. Ask us to do it instead
Email hello@birdcagegroup.com and tell us what you want deleted. Send it from the email address on the account where you can, because that is the simplest way for us to be sure the request is really yours. If you cannot, say so and we will work out another way to check rather than acting on an unverified request.
This is a person reading an inbox, not an automated deletion service. We will action it and confirm when it is done. If you are a customer of a business rather than an account holder, we will normally pass the request to that business, because they are responsible for your details and we hold them on their behalf.
6. Where the rest of it is written down
What Birdsong collects, who else sees it and how long it is kept is set out in the Birdsong Privacy Policy. What you agree to by using it is in the Birdsong Terms of Service.
